On 3 July 2026, Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of HKEX, entered into a data licensing agreement with ChinaBond Pricing Center (CBPC). CBPC will supply bond valuation data and pricing calculation services to HKFE to facilitate the launch of 5-Year China Government Bond Futures in Hong Kong scheduled for 3 August. Gregory Yu, HKEX’s Head of Markets, remarked that this collaboration represents a landmark step for HKEX to expand its fixed-income product lineup and advance RMB internationalisation. The partnership will deliver critical data backing for the new RMB interest rate risk management instrument, raise the global profile of China’s bond valuation benchmarks, and draw more international investors to China’s bond market. As a core pricing benchmark service provider for the mainland’s fixed income market, CBPC’s bond data is widely adopted by institutions for trading, risk management and accounting purposes.
