The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has lifted the Restriction Notice that had prevented Bright Smart Securities International (H.K.) Limited from handling assets in the account of Mr. Barry Kwok Sze Lok, following an investigation into suspected insider trading in I.T. Limited shares. The notice, originally imposed in August 2022, was rendered unnecessary after the SFC obtained a court order in May 2023 to prevent Kwok and his associate from disposing of assets, including those in their Hong Kong securities accounts. Bright Smart was not part of the investigation, and the restriction had no impact on its operations or other clients.
