In two recent operations, “Rocket Gun” and “Beacon Tower,” the ICAC arrested a total of 148 individuals for allegedly fraudulently obtaining professional qualifications in excavator operations and electrical work. Operation “Rocket Gun” involved 111 arrests, including a mastermind, company owners, and construction workers who allegedly falsified employment documents to gain certifications. Operation “Beacon Tower” led to 37 arrests connected to the fraudulent acquisition of Grade A Electrical Work Certificates. Both operations stemmed from corruption complaints and revealed significant forgery and bribery in the application processes for these professional qualifications.
