SFC warns public of Quantum AI for suspected virtual asset-related fraud

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has issued a warning regarding suspected virtual asset-related fraud involving an entity called “Quantum AI.” The SFC suspects that Quantum AI is using AI-generated deepfake videos and photos of Elon Musk to deceive the public into believing that he is involved in their cryptocurrency trading services. It is also suspected that Quantum AI has disseminated false and misleading information through a fake news website to promote its services and attract investors with promises of unrealistically high returns. The SFC has taken action to block access to Quantum AI’s website and social media pages, but cautions the public to remain vigilant and exercise caution in the face of potential investment scams.

The SFC advises the public to be wary of investment opportunities that seem too good to be true and to exercise caution when encountering investment advice on social media platforms. Online investment scams can result in significant financial losses, and investors are urged to remain vigilant and skeptical when making investment decisions.
