SFC warns public of suspicious investment products offered by ProCap International

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has issued a warning to the public regarding suspicious investment products offered by ProCap International (ProCap) and its related entities. These products, promoted on ProCap’s website, claim to provide insurance coverage for investment capital and offer high guaranteed returns ranging from 6% to 42% per month through prediction games and referral incentives. The SFC emphasizes that these investment products have not been authorized by the SFC for offering to the public in Hong Kong. The SFC advises the public to exercise caution and avoid investing in non-SFC authorized products, as they offer limited or no protection and may result in the loss of investments. The SFC also reminds individuals to be vigilant and skeptical of investment opportunities that seem too good to be true. Please note that engaging in the promotion or sale of these unauthorized investment products without the necessary license is considered an offense under the Securities and Futures Ordinance. The SFC will take appropriate actions to address any breach of the law. Resources: https://apps.sfc.hk/edistributionWeb/gateway/EN/news-and-announcements/news/doc?refNo=24PR63
