SFC obtains interim injunction against former director of SMI Culture & Travel Group Holdings Limited

enforcement

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) has obtained an interim injunction order against Ms Leung Anita Fung Yes Maria, former CEO of SMI Culture & Travel Group Holdings Limited, to preserve assets for potential compensation. The SFC applied for the injunction due to new information suggesting a risk of asset dissipation by Leung. The order requires Leung to disclose assets valued at $50,000 or more, notify the SFC of property transactions, and refrain from disposing of assets without a 28-day notice to the SFC. The SFC initiated legal proceedings against Leung and two other executives, alleging a fraudulent scheme resulting in substantial losses for SMI Culture & Travel Group. The SFC seeks disqualification orders and compensation for the losses or profits gained from the scheme.
