On August 22, the first Blended Finance Roundtable was organized by the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) and HKMA Infrastructure Financing Facilitation Office (IFFO). The purpose was to facilitate discussions among influential stakeholders, including leaders from banks, international organizations, family offices, and philanthropies, on harnessing the potential of blended finance to foster innovation and collaboration in addressing global climate challenges. Participants delved into topics such as the regional and domestic outlook, opportunities and challenges, and best practices associated with blended finance, with a focus on exploring innovative and actionable approaches to scaling up blended finance efforts.
