The Exchange has announced that the Northbound (NB) Broker-to-Client Assigned Number (BCAN) file submission and download functions on ECP will be launched on July 17th, 2023. To ensure a smooth rollout, all China Connect Exchange Participants (CCEPs) and Trade-through Exchange Participants (TTEPs) are strongly advised to participate in a Post Release Test (PRT) on July 15th, 2023, and confirm the rollout via a special message on the HKEX website with check on the announcement at around 3:00pm. During the rollout, CCEPs and TTEPs are recommended to submit NB BCAN related files via ECP as early as possible. The original Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) facility will no longer be available. In case of any unexpected incidents, there may be a fallback to the original SFTP facility during the two-week stabilisation period, which will be announced accordingly.
