Uber and bp have formed a global mobility agreement to accelerate Uber’s commitment to become a zero-tailpipe emissions mobility platform by 2030 in the US, Canada, and Europe and globally by 2040. The agreement involves Uber drivers obtaining access to bp’s high-speed charging network to assist with the transition to electric vehicles. The companies will initially concentrate on collaborating in Europe, the UK, and the US to support Uber’s 2030 targets, with other countries to follow. The partnership aims to provide reliable and convenient charging infrastructure to address the concerns of ride-hailing drivers identified in a recent survey.
