LG Electronics has released its 2022-2023 Sustainability Report, which details the company’s achievements and strategies for realizing its Better Life for All ESG vision. The report highlights two main areas of focus: 3Cs for the planet (carbon neutrality, circularity, and clean technology) and 3Ds for people (design for all, decent workplace, and diversity & inclusion). LG has already reduced its global greenhouse gas emissions by 22 million tons and aims to achieve net-zero emissions by 2030. The company is also working on expanding the use of eco-friendly technologies, establishing a circular ecosystem by using recycled plastics and recovering electronic waste, and prioritizing accessibility for all. Additionally, LG is addressing ESG risks with its suppliers and expanding the role of its ESG Committee to internalize ESG management. The company has been publishing its sustainability report annually since 2006 and recently introduced the ESG Story Book to help stakeholders understand its ESG activities in a more engaging format.
