EIT InnoEnergy, with the support of the European Institute of Innovation & Technology, has launched the InnoEnergy Skills Institute, an initiative that seeks to provide training and development for workers in industries transitioning towards sustainable energy. NIIT, a global talent development corporation, has been chosen as a strategic partner to scale the programme and reach over 800,000 workers by 2025. Through the InnoEnergy Skills Institute, workers can access adaptable and customisable courses on green hydrogen, solar photovoltaics, and batteries. NIIT will provide support services, such as onboarding and training of teaching staff, to ensure the initiative’s success. The partnership aims to create a highly skilled and certified workforce to hasten the transition to sustainable energy.
