Apple has pledged an additional $200 million to its Restore Fund, which invests in nature-based carbon removal projects. The fund was initially launched in 2021 with Conservation International and Goldman Sachs. A new fund will now be managed by Climate Asset Management, and Apple will invest up to $200 million in it. The company has expanded its approach to include two types of investments: nature-forward agricultural projects and projects that conserve and restore critical ecosystems. The Restore Fund is part of Apple’s plan to become carbon neutral for its entire supply chain and product lifecycle by 2030.
