On 25th May 2026,Canada-based energy infrastructure company Enbridge announced a $1.2 billion solar and battery energy storage (BESS) initiative in Wyoming. This project expands the companies’ clean energy partnership to approximately 1.6 GW of contracted capacity across North America to provide support on Meta’s expanding data center operations.Under the agreement, Cheyenne Light, Fuel and Power (CLFP) will deliver the power to Meta via Wyoming’s Large Power Contract Service tariff. Additionally, the BESS capacity will be secured under a long-term battery tolling agreement with CLFP, with Tesla supplying and servicing the batteries. Ultimately, this partnership directly supports Meta’s corporate mandate to maintain 100% renewable energy matching and achieve net-zero value chain emissions by 2030.
