Preqin Launches New Benchmarks to Assess Private Markets ESG Funds

Preqin, a provider of alternative investment data and insights, has introduced new ESG performance benchmarks to address the lack of standardized and comparable data on ESG fund performance in private markets. The benchmarks aim to enable investors, fund managers, and advisors to make informed decisions regarding ESG and impact investing in the traditionally opaque alternative markets. Preqin’s ESG benchmarks cover various categories, including ESG integration, Impact, Climate, SFDR Article 8, SFDR Article 9, Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), and Sharia Compliant, providing information on over 200 ESG fund performance benchmarks across different asset classes.
