At the COP28 in Dubai, the EU-Catalyst partnership announced its support for two groundbreaking European projects: Ørsted’s FlagshipONE and Energy Dome’s Ottana CO2 Battery. These projects, funded with €240 million in grants and commercial investment, will revolutionize the clean tech sector and help the EU achieve its 2030 climate targets. The partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of low-carbon technologies, reduce their costs, and bring them in line with fossil fuels. The FlagshipONE project will produce green fuel for the shipping industry through e-methanol production, while the Ottana CO2 Battery project will showcase a long-duration energy storage technology.
