The UN Global Compact has released new guidance and tools for companies involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to promote sustainable infrastructure. The reports emphasize aligning projects with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the UN Global Compact’s Ten Principles. They provide practical insights and case studies to support responsible and inclusive infrastructure development. The launch event highlighted the importance of sustainable infrastructure for economic growth and social development. The UN also launched an online platform and case studies to facilitate SDG implementation and corporate sustainability in the BRI. The project was supported by the UN Peace and Development Fund (UNPDF) to enable collaboration and provide resources.
