HCL and UpLink, along with the World Economic Forum, have launched the Zero Water Waste Challenge as part of the Aquapreneur Innovation Initiative. The challenge seeks innovative solutions to conserve freshwater and eliminate water waste. Submissions are open from August 21 to October 2, 2023, and the top 10 winners will receive a total financial award of 1.75 million CHF. This is the second challenge of the initiative, which supports water-focused entrepreneurs with a commitment of $15 million until 2027. The focus areas include capturing and protecting freshwater supply, water re-use and recycling, and saving water in agriculture. The selected innovators will join the UpLink Innovation Network and receive various benefits, collaborations, and a financial incentive.
